BOLLARDS

The use of bollards is to segregate vehicles from pedestrians, buildings and stonework. In recent years it has become necessary to use bollards as a means of traffic calming due to increased traffic and population levels. They have also been adapted as security measures against tomb-raiding. At Metal Fabrication and Fencing, we offer more than fifty cast iron bollards, and new bollards can be manufactured to any given specification (see bottom of this page for a small selection). As a result the variety available is constantly increasing and it is advisable to ask about new products when making an enquiry. Our cast iron range of bollards are available as standard root fixed, removable, and security versions. There has been growing demand for security bollards that can be lowered into the ground when not in use. Telescopic Security Posts provide a simple, secure and cost effective method of protecting premises. Precision manufactured, these security posts are the perfect barrier to help prevent a crime. Strategically located on forecourts, car parks or shop fronts security posts are a true 24 hour deterrent, whilst remaining aesthetically pleasing. The bollards are designed with ease of use in mind. It takes mere seconds to raise each one and lock it into place using its integral high security lock. When not in use the post is completely concealed, sliding discretely into the ground where it is covered by a steel flap.
